Calling all dog owners! You may be thinking about new ways to get your dog out in the sunshine now that the days are warmer and longer. Dogs require a lot of exercise, sunshine, and head pats. Take advantage of more sunlight this spring with a trip to the Bradfordville Dog Park. This dog park is the largest dog park in Leon County, with approximately 13 acres of ample space for dogs to play and burn some energy. Take a look at a few reasons why we think you and your furry friend will love this spot.

Breathe in the Fresh Air

It is a great time to be outdoors. March is known for great weather and comfortable temperatures. Bring a ball or frisbee to play fetch with your pup so they can stretch their legs. There is plenty of room to stay socially distant so everyone can be safe and comfortable spending time here. Your dog will love frolicking with other fur friends in this well-maintained space.

Everyone is Welcome

The Bradfordville Dog Park welcomes all dogs. Small and large dogs are able to enjoy this large area together. The park is open from dawn to dusk so you have plenty of time to stop by during the day and take in everything it has to offer. Given the popularity of the park, there are overflow parking spots if needed. If you post a picture of your adventure on social media, make sure to share your experience with others by using the hashtags #LCDogPark and #BradfordvilleBarkPark and tagging @LeonCounty.

Keep in Mind

There are stormwater ponds in the park that are surrounded by trees and plantings to guide people and pets to stay out of the pond. If your dog does get in the water, don’t worry. Just make sure to rinse them off after. Dogs are encouraged to play together, but keep an eye out for other wildlife as well. It is possible that snakes and alligators are in the area.
