Dear People of Massachusetts,
We just wanted to drop a quick note from one running community to another. Oh sure, we don’t expect the same enormous crowd to sign up for the Boston Mini-Marathon here in south Georgia, but we do expect a great time with runners from around our state and beyond. In fact, the majority of our participants come from Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, and our most recent winners were from Tallahassee, Florida. We’re so proud of the race and all the rest of the festivities surrounding the Mini-Marathon coming up October 29, as well as the crowds who come out to enjoy it all. Allow us to share a little bit about them.
Bed Race
On October 29 the Mini-Marathon is just the first event in a day of festivities. It’s followed by our annual Bed Race. Not only is the Bed Race fun, but it does a lot of good in our community. Beds are donated to support local children in need and proceeds supply books to kids in our area. And folks around here go all out with their beds. There are prizes for the fastest time, most creative design, and our favorite: The Boston Broken Spring Award.
Costume Contest And Parade
Like we said, October 29 is nonstop fun over in Boston, Georgia. After the Bed Race, we have a costume contest. It is Halloween weekend after all, and everyone’s gearing up for a spooky time. Shortly after the costume contest we hold a parade.

Thank You To Organizers
Finally, at Thomasville Toyota, we want to express our deep gratitude to everyone involved in putting on this annual festive day that we can all enjoy and take great pride in. We’re thrilled to see the run return to Boston, Georgia. And to our friends in the other Boston, we invite you to come down and enjoy the day with us. It won’t be as crowded as your race, but rest assured, you’ll have an amazing time.
