Crank Up The Heat With These Grill Recipes

Spring is in full swing, and as the temperature heats up in Georgia, so do grills across the state. May is here, and we have months of prime grilling weather ahead of us, so hook up the propane tank, fire up the coals, and try out any of these appetizing grill recipes.

Bacon Burgers on Brioche Buns

Burgers are always appropriate grilling fare, and you can elevate the everyday sandwich with bacon and brioche. Before you place any chuck or sirloin patties on the grill, you’ll need to prep the toppings, so roast some red onions with olive oil, crisp up some bacon, and whip a sauce of mayonnaise, olive oil, and lemon juice. Once the beef has been on the grill for a few minutes, top each patty with a slice of brie, then cook until the cheese has started to melt. Slice the brioche into buns, spread the mayo sauce on the inside, and form your burgers with the finished ingredients.

Mexican Grilled Corn

This take on Mexican street corn, or Elote, is as easy to make as it is delicious. First, give each ear of corn a light brush of olive oil, then cook them on the grill for about 10 minutes. They’ll need to rotate often to keep from scorching too much on any side. To make the topping, mix sour cream, Greek yogurt, lime juice, salt, and parmesan cheese in a bowl, and season it with taco spices like cumin and chile powder. When the corn is resting away from the heat, top each ear with the mixture, then plate and garnish them with cilantro, a spray of lime juice, and more cheese.

Pork Chops with Honey Garlic Glaze

Sweeten up the standard pork chops with this honey garlic glaze. To make the glaze, combine honey, chopped garlic, and soy sauce in a saucepan, bring it all to a boil, then drop it to a simmer for about five minutes. Use a whisk to mix in pepper, then set the glaze aside as you cook the chops on high heat on the grill. When the meat comes off the heat, brush each chop with the sweet glaze.
