Thomas County Historical Society & Museum of History
The Thomas County Museum of History is located in the historic 1923 Flowers-Roberts House at 725 North Dawson Street in Thomasville, Georgia. The building contains more than thirty-five exhibits about the history of Thomas County, as well as the document, photo, and three-dimensional archives that provide the material evidence of what happened in Thomas County’s past.
Cherokee Lake Park
Cherokee Lake Park in Thomasville is a little getaway all by itself! The park has a 1-mile paved walking path around a fishing lake, complete with bridges and piers with built-in benches. There are several covered picnic spots, restrooms and a modern playground for the kids. The park is also adjacent to the Thomasville Rose Garden, which is in bloom throughout the spring and summer months. Admission and parking are free, and the park is open from dawn to dusk.
