The senior vice president of automotive operations, Bob Carter, spoke for the company when he said that they were looking forward to Americans having the chance to drive the Mirai, which is the result of over 20 years of development and research. Toyota feels that the Earth Day debut was perfect timing as it also allowed Toyota to provide education concerning hydrogen fuel cell technology, as well as its future potential.
