Try These Coffee Snickerdoodle Cookies

The fall season seems to be the perfect time of year to gather in the kitchen and start baking. Bakers don their aprons to make pumpkin pie, pecan tarts, and more. If you want to bake something delicious but avoid the cliché fall flavors, then you should try these incredibly delicious coffee snickerdoodle cookies.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ cups of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons of cream of tartar
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of instant coffee

You will also need for the sugar coating:

  • 3 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar

Instructions

The first thing you will need to do once you have assembled all your ingredients is to preheat the oven to 400°F. You will want to then take a baking sheet and line it with either Silpat or parchment paper.

The next step you will do is to beat the sugar, eggs, and butter in a medium-large mixing bowl. In a separate medium mixing bowl, you will mix all the dry ingredients – flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, coffee, and salt. Once you have your dry ingredients in one bowl, you will add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. In a smaller bowl, you will combine the cinnamon and sugar for the sugar-coating step.

With the dough thoroughly combined, you will roll the cookie dough into small balls. They should definitely be smaller than a golf ball. You will then take the rolled cookie dough balls and roll them into the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Then you will place the cookie dough balls onto the baking sheets, leaving enough room so that they are about 2 inches apart. You will bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes. When they are done baking, you can always add more cinnamon and sugar to the top of each cookie. Your cookies are ready then to enjoy!
